Manufacturing
The Toyama Monozukuri Center has two main machine shops and smaller areas for specialist work such as vacuum brazing and welding, which make a total 1,900 m2 of machining and workshop areas.
The large product machine shop has a new very large milling machine, shown on the right, which is capable of making chambers up to 7.5m x 3.9m in size.
The machine shop has 5 tonne capacity cranes mounted 10m above the workshop floor. These new facilities give us the capability for machining and handling very large fabrications.
The main machine shop contains some new machine tools together with the existing equipment transferred from the old factory. The additional space provided together with full crane coverage of the workshop will give us better work flow through the factory and significantly increase our output capacity.
Our new vacuum furnace gives us in house capability for vacuum heat-treament (outgassing, stress-relieving) and for vacuum brazing.
