This Beam Axis Alignment Filter is installed at front end of an X-ray Undulator beamline. It removes the low energy portion of the synchrotron radiation by inserting various filters which convert it to heat. The heat is removed by water cooling. It is used to align beam axis. It is used at SPring-8 as standard component.
- The designed is compact so as not to require wide installation space.
- Flexible bellows makes it possible to drive it smoothly without leakage.
- Traversable pipe is used for in-vacuum cooling and no joints are used.
- The inner surface of the vacuum chamber is treated by electropolishing and a sheath heater is equipped. Therefore, it can achieve UHV condition in a short time.
