Energy Slit for Chicanes
The Energy Slit has been developed for use on SACLA, a compact 8GeV X-ray Free Electron Laser located at SPring-8, Japan, with the SACLA project team. These slits are installed in the chicanes in the source sections of the SACLA XFEL.
The slit system acts to cut off the halo element of the electron beam and to remove dark current on the accelerator tubes.
